There was a time in my life where I offered to clean the dishes after dinner just to be able to stuff myself with all the leftovers. The moment my partner got out of the house I rushed into the kitchen and ate anything I found. Sometimes I’d stay up until 1 am so he was already sleeping and I made myself a huge meal.

I woke up so puffy every morning that I looked 10 kg heavier because of all the water retention in my face. I would drive 30 minutes away just to get to that special store that had that special chocolate. I would overeat for every meal…

… and then I balanced it all out with days of fasting and starving myself.


I had been stuck in this vicious cycle for years.

Nothing helped me. The usual advice was: “Just distract yourself. Go for a walk or something. Call a friend. Take a bubble bath.”

But that didn’t work. The urges were still there AFTER distracting myself.

I was super determined to solve my issue and I was prepared to do anything. I researched like crazy…

I read a gazillion books, followed the advice of nutritionists, doctors. Nothing helped.

Then I decided to let go of everything I know, I followed my intuition, and I started developing my own method.


I tested everything on myself. It didn’t just happen in an instant, it took quite a while before I finally figured it all out and put all the pieces of the puzzle together.

But when I did, oh wow! It was such a breakthrough for me.

It felt so wonderful to let go of the yo-yo dieting, overeating, restricting, binging, and counting calories, and be in complete trust with my body WHILE losing weight.

I started leaving food on the plate because I felt full and lost the desire to eat. And it started happening that sometimes I even forgot about food altogether, and had to remind myself to eat!

The best part of it is that I also managed to lose weight – without even focusing on it! And that happened while still enjoying in my favorite foods, like sweet, chocolatey goodness, croissants, pasta etc. With absolutely NO dieting.

This is a no willpower approach and once you learn the fundamentals, you are forever free.

Since then I just wanted to tell everybody about it.

I am a whole food plant based health coach and recipe developer at Soul in the Raw. 

I went vegan over 8 years ago as a result of my mother’s healing story from a cruel and painful bladder disease.

In this process, I was able to heal my own extreme PMS symptoms, broken digestion, and grow a new connection with my own body.
