This raw vegan papaya smoothie is not only out-of-this-world delicious, but it also has the most amazing health benefits. Combining the papaya seeds, papaya fruit, and raspberries provides a wonderful amount of nutrients and anti oxidants to get you going for the day.

A Papaya Smoothie that Fights Inflammation and Depression

The papaya smoothie you are about to drink has many health benefits. Firstly, the high amount of anti oxidants in papaya also fight depression. While depression may be caused by oxidative stress, the carotenoid phytonutrients in papaya. Lycopene, the most powerful anti oxidant in the carotenoid family, showing up as the color red, is plentiful in papaya. It strangles the oxidative damage of free radicals.  

This papaya smoothie is not only delicious, but also delivers plenty of extra health benefits. Papaya is anti-inflammatory, particularly for people suffering from arthritis. 

Papaya Smoothie for Parasites

One of papaya’s most famous benefits is its ability to rid the body of parasites. A 2007 study concluded that papaya seeds are, “efficacious in treating human intestinal parasites and without significant side effects”.

On their own, papaya seeds taste pretty spicy. Therefore, putting them in this delicious papaya smoothie is a great way to get their anti-parasitic benefits, without the yucky taste.

A parasite is an organism that lives in our body and feeds off of our nutrition. The symptoms are extremely varied, and it is often nearly impossible to diagnose them. They include things like fatigue, insomnia, anemia, irritability, constipation or diarrhea, food poisoning, aching muscles, rashes, not being satisfied by your meals, and much more. Having parasites in our body can be the underlying cause for hundreds of symptoms.

Parasites can enter the body through unclean food and water. And it is also very easy to pass it to other people, particularly those who you are in close contact with.    

If you already have a parasite, the dosage you will need to take is much higher than what this smoothie offers. You will need to take it first thing in the morning, with a greater amount. But this is a great way to make sure you are continually cleaning out your gut and preventing potential unwanted friends.

Raw Vegan Papaya Smoothie
Ingredients
  • 3 ripe bananas with black spots on them
  • 1 small non-GMO papaya
  • a teaspoon of papaya seeds
  • a splash of vanilla extract
  • 1 cup raspberries
  • 1/2 cup raw coconut water or water
Instructions
  1. Place all ingredients in the blender and blend until smooth
Recipe Notes
As with any of my smoothies, you can add greens to make this even more nutritious
